AIA Thailand honoured at Real Estate Asia Awards 2025 for trailblazing green building project
Blending sustainability, smart design, and lifestyle-driven spaces, AIA Connect redefines the future of work by truly connecting work with life.
AIA Thailand has earned top recognition at the Real Estate Asia Awards 2025, securing two prestigious accolades: ESG Initiative of the Year - Thailand and Sustainable Development of the Year - Thailand. These awards celebrate the company’s pioneering green development, AIA Connect, a project that truly embodies the vision to “Connect Work with Life.”
AIA Connect: A vision of vitality, sustainability, and balance
Completed between 2023 and 2025, AIA Connect is a Grade A commercial development strategically located at the intersection of two mass rapid transit (MRT) lines and Ratchadapisek Road in Bangkok, Thailand. The 34-storey tower, rising above a five-floor podium, spaces approximately 1.19 million square feet and houses 123 office units, a 5-storey retail hub, and expansive green spaces—all designed to support a lifestyle where work and life are seamlessly integrated.
At the heart of AIA Connect is the belief that the future of work is not just about productivity but about well-being, connectivity, and community. The development’s tagline, “Connect Work with Life,” is brought to life through every design element and amenity.
Seamless connectivity, sustainable living
Designed with sustainability and accessibility at its core, AIA Connect features a triple-level connector that links MRT stations, bus stops, and other transport modes. This infrastructure promotes public transit use, eases pedestrian flow, and reduces the building’s carbon footprint—making it easier for people to move between work, home, and leisure.
From the basement and ground levels, visitors are guided into the main tower, which functions as both an office and retail hub—blurring the lines between professional and personal spaces.
Smart, human-centric design
AIA Connect is equipped with adaptive technologies such as IoT systems, touchless access, and smart building automation. These innovations support hybrid work models whilst fostering collaboration and community—key to a balanced work-life experience.
The building is divided into four zones, each with outdoor terraces that encourage wellness and interaction. Its column-free floor plates offer flexible layouts that adapt to the evolving needs of modern workspaces.
A lifestyle destination
The Sculpture Garden at the entrance welcomes visitors with a vibrant “ribbon” landscape concept, featuring public seating, wayfinding signage, a jogging track, landscaped trails, and artworks. This design transforms the building into a lifestyle destination, not just a workplace.
With pet-friendly amenities, indoor greenery, and a double-glazed curtain wall façade that maximises daylight whilst minimising heat gain, AIA Connect is built for comfort, sustainability, and inclusivity. Enhanced solar control on the southwest side further boosts energy efficiency.
Certified for excellence
AIA Connect has achieved LEED v4 Gold and WELL Gold certifications, underscoring its commitment to environmental performance, accessibility, and occupant well-being. These recognitions affirm its role as a forward-thinking development that truly connects work with life.
