Jakarta office absorption to reach 170,000sqm in 2025

And vacancy is expected to decline.

In a report, Cushman and Wakefield said net absorption in Jakarta’s office sector is expected to remain positive at approximately 170,000 sq m for the full-year 2025.

Vacancy is expected to reduce further with a continued absence of new office supply in 2025.

Here’s more from Cushman and Wakefield:

Despite ongoing strengthening in occupancy levels, landlords will still likely be very careful when considering to raise their base rental levels.

Gross rental rates are projected to slightly increase, mostly as the result of incremental rises in both base rental and service charge components.

Rental growth is expected to increase further in 2025 following the general election and period of expected political stability, against the backdrop of an improved economic forecast.
