Jakarta data centre market continues to expand

Colocation inventory grew to over 400MW in H1 2025.

According to a JLL report, the Greater Jakarta data centre market is experiencing remarkable growth, with colocation inventory expanding from 150 MW in 2021 to over 400 MW in H1 2025.

The report further noted that this expansion includes established operators and new entrants like Equinix (which launched its first data centre in Jakarta through a joint venture with PT Astra International), Digital Realty Bersama, and Digital Hyperspace, while DCI Indonesia continues expansion.

Although AI-specific demand isn’t yet significant, Indonesia’s growing cloud services and digital transformation could eventually accelerate AI adoption across the market.
