New Breeze by Dahua Group Australia

The project wins Masterplan Development of the Year - Australia at the Real Estate Asia Awards 2022.

Dahua’s vibrant new master-planned community at the gateway to South Western Sydney,  New Breeze at Bardia earned them the Masterplan Development of the Year - Australia Award at the Real Estate Asia Awards 2022. 

The awards programme recognises major breakthroughs, innovations, and key players in the real estate industry of Asia. The design of New Breeze and Dahua’s vision to create and deliver a dream home and lifestyle that’s accessible and affordable set them apart from their competition. 

Spanning over 89 hectares, New Breeze at Bardia is a master-planned community that is centred around public transport, schools, childcare, and amenities such as Ed Square town centre. It offers large, high-quality parks and playgrounds, a sports oval, bike and cycle paths and 40 hectares of open spaces for recreational activities. 

With a focus on providing affordable housing, New Breeze was designed with a wide range of housing options and land parcels to support a growing community. At practical completion (August 2021), New Breeze delivered over 1,280 new dwellings. To ensure depth of market penetration and housing diversity, the price points for land varied from $238,000 to $1.5m for lots ranging from 135m² to over 10,000m². Over 1,000 dwellings have already been completed with the remainder already under construction or about to start. 

Numerous creative and innovative elements were implemented by Dahua. The creation of a connected and walkable community that links with Edmondson Park Train Station, Bardia Public School, and Ed Square Town Centre. The delivery of a walkable urban green network includes community parks and exercise stations, creeks, picturesque picnic spots, sports fields and kids' playgrounds to promote an active and healthy lifestyle amongst residents.

Enabling a broad spectrum of family typologies was critical to the success of New Breeze. The masterplan design maximised smaller lots fronting parks and open spaces corridors and delivered pocket parks and conversion of a drainage corridor into usable open space.

New Breeze at Bardia achieved a settlement of over 300 lots per year since the first block was settled in August 2017, with the last 1,281 residential lots being completed by February 2022. It is now home to over 3,000 residents. Delivering this outstanding project reflects Dahua’s commitment to Build Enduring Communities.
