Bali hotel room supply now at nearly 60,000
This is a 0.8% decline from 2019 supply levels.
The availability of new hotel accommodation in Bali from 2020 to Q3 2023 has been notably restricted as the pandemic forced several hotels to cease operations. According to Colliers data, presently, the overall supply of hotel rooms in Bali stands at 59,697 rooms, representing a marginal decrease of 0.8% when compared to the total room count in 2019.
Nonetheless, Bali remains an enduring attraction for both local and international tourists, thus ensuring the ongoing development of the hospitality industry on the island.
“The expansion of new hotels is not confined solely to the Kuta area; it has extended to other regions such as Pecatu, Ubud, Sanur, and Seminyak. This signifies that tourist hotspots in Bali are diversifying beyond the traditional Kuta-Seminyak belt, with an increasing number of visitors exploring these alternative locales. In terms of hotel classification, there is a fairly balanced distribution among 3-, 4- and 5-star hotels,” Colliers added.
