Ho Chi Minh City to see a hyperscale data centre facility in 2026
A 140-MW facility is currently under construction.
According to a JLL report, CMC Corporation received approval for a USD 250 million hyperscale data centre in Saigon Hi-Tech Park, featuring 30 MW initial capacity (expandable to 120 MW).
“Ho Chi Minh City’s data centre market is booming across 27 facilities with clusters in Saigon Hi-Tech Park and Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone. Major operators include NTT, STT VNG, Viettel IDC, and CMC Telecom,” the report said.
Additionally, the report revealed that Viettel is building a hyperscale facility for 2026, while Gaw Capital develops in Saigon Hi-Tech Park. Joint ventures like STT VNG operate one centre with a second under development in Tan Thuan.
